Not working on DNN 6.1.5

description

Not sure if its supposed to or not, it just said DNN 6/7 but I installed on DNN 6.1.5 today. Initially after installing, it took my site like 5 minutes to come back up (this isn't typical as I'm on a dedicated server with PDNN). After sweating bullets it did come back up but I noticed a few things.

In Host > Extensions there is no icon for the iframe module. It looks a little wonky. Then when trying to add it to a page nothing happens at all. It just didn't work.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it just isn't working on my version.

Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem running on DNN 6.2.7.

When I try to add the module to a page, nothing happens. And there's nothing in the Event Log to indicate a problem.

When I look at the Host/Extensions Page it shows the IFrame Module is not in use.

In a DNN 7.2.1 on IIS7/7.5/8 installation this issue actually caused the system to error when the Extensions page was loaded and gives a DNN system error. I've attached it but the main error line is as follows;

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory.

Our developers fixed this be doing the following.
  • Changed IconFile value from: ~/../../images/icon-iframe-32px.png to ~/DesktopModules/IFrame/icon-iframe-32px.png
  • Copy that icon into the DesktopModules/IFrame directory from www/images
